Buku ini ditulis berdasarkan pengalaman penulis sebagai dosen pembimbing PPL/Magang pada mahasiswa BK. Sekulitan-kesuliran yang sering kali mereka hadapi yaitu minimnya buku mengenai asesemen dalam BK. Maka dari itu bahan ajar ini diharapkan menambah pengetahuan untuk mahasiswa dan dosen-dosen di lingkungan UM palangkaraya

Kebiasaan nyontek yang sepertinya sudah membudaya hanya bisa dikurangi jika kita mulai mengases siswa dengan tugas-tugas yang tidak nyontek. Sangat bijak pendapat seorang ahli yang mengatakan “if you want to change about student learning then change the methods of assessment”. Hal ini memberi pengertian bahwa kurikulum yang baik dan pembelajaran yang benar perlu didukung oleh sistim penilaian yang baik dan terencana. Dengan kata lain, model pembelajaran yang baik esensinya akan hilang jika tidak didukung oleh asesmen yang sesuai. Immune reconstitution following T-cell depletion consists of expansion of circulating T-cells or de novo synthesis of T-cells from the thymus. The IL-7/IL-7 receptor signalling pathway is critical for the maturation and differentiation of thymocytes before they leave the thymus as mature T-cells. Viral infections including HIV have been shown to decrease IL-7Ralpha (CD127) expression on circulating CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells. However little is known about the effects of HIV infection on CD127 expression and activity in thymocytes despite existing evidence of HIV infection of the thymus. Thymic function is altered in HIV infection leading to a dysregulation of the thymic epithelial network and reduced thymic output which may contribute, in part, to impaired immune reconstitution in progressive HIV disease. In vitro studies demonstrate that HIV infection interrupts thymopoiesis resulting in a developmental block in thymopoiesis similar to that seen in models of IL-7/IL-7R deficiencies suggesting a role for altered IL-7 signalling in HIV associated thymic dysfunction. Therefore we hypothesize that thymic dysfunction which occurs in HIV infection is due to reduced IL-7R and/or altered IL-7 signalling in thymocytes resulting in impaired de novo T-cell synthesis. In order to address this hypothesis an in vitro system for the functional study of human thymocytes has been optimized. The research conducted as part of this thesis assessed if in vitro HIV infection or if cytokines that are upregulated in the course of HIV infection altered CD127 expression on maturing thymocytes. It also evaluated if in vitro HIV infection disrupts thymocyte function at different stages of maturation and whether this disruption in function is due to impaired IL-7/IL-7R signalling. The host factors IL-7, TNF-4 and IL-4, which are upregulated in HIV infection, are found to downregulate CD127 expression on thymocytes. IL-4 pre-treatment of thymocytes reduced the ability of IL-7 to induce STAT-5 phosphorylation. Furthermore following in vitro HIV infection of thymocytes, CD127 expression of single positive CD8 thymocytes was decreased. In vitro HIV infection altered IL-7 activity as demonstrated by lower levels of Bcl-2 and phospho-STAT-5 expression in thymocytes following IL-7 stimulation. These accumulated results suggests that HIV may play a role in impaired thymic function by altering IL-7 responsiveness. Understanding the mechanisms of thymic dysfunction in HIV infection may provide some insight into therapies leading to immune reconstitution through increased thymic output.

Cytokines play an important role in the pathology associated with chronic inflammatory diseases because of pro-inflammatory and neutrophil chemotactic properties. The biological effects of IL-8 are relevant in this regard. This study was done to compare the level of this molecule in Gingival Crevicular Fluid from patients with adult periodontitis and from individuals with clinically healthy gingival. GCF was collected from patients with adult periodontitis and clinically healthy gingival for 30 seconds using a periopaper strip and the volume of the sample determined. Following elution of the fluid, assays for IL-8 were carried out by ELISA. The results of the study showed that level of IL-8 of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (p>0.01). The clinical parameters were positively correlated to IL-8 suggesting that the GCF IL-8 exhibited dynamic changes upon severity of periodontal disease (p>0.05). Thus, to conclude, the level of IL-8 in GCF is valuable in detecting the inflammation of periodontal tissue.

Sebagaimana sudah ditetapkan oleh Menteri Pendidikan Indonesia, mulai tahun 2021 Ujian Nasional (UN) tidak lagi diselenggarakan. Sebagai pengganti UN, diadakan Asesmen Nasional. Asesmen Nasional bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Asesmen Nasional dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja satuan pendidikan dan sekaligus menghasilkan informasi perbaikan kualitas belajar-mengajar, yang kemudian diharapkan berdampak pada karakter dan kompetensi siswa. Asesmen Nasional terdiri atas tiga komponen, yaitu Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM), Survei Karakter (SK), dan Survei Lingkungan Belajar. Untuk mengenalkan AKM kepada guru dan siswa maka kami menyiapkan sebuah buku soal AKM, yaitu Super Sukses AKM. Super Sukses AKM SMA/MA merupakan buku soal AKM yang memuat komponen literasi membaca dan numerasi. Soal-soal AKM dalam buku ini mengacu pada soal PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) dan TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) yang dapat digunakan oleh siswa untuk menghadapi Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum. Mata pelajaran SMA/MA akan terintegrasi pada soal-soal literasi membaca dan numerasi, sehingga semua siswa dapat memahaminya. Pada soal- soal AKM dalam Super Sukses AKM SMA/MA ini menuntut siswa untuk menggunakan logika dan analisis keterampilan berpikir tingkat (HOTS, Higher Order Thinking Skills) untuk memahami makna dari soal. Soal AKM literasi membaca dan numerasi terdiri atas beberapa paket, sehingga siswa dapat mengerjakannya secara bertahap. Pada bagian akhir buku, kami juga memberikan beberapa contoh survei karakter, yang dapat dijadikan pedoman oleh siswa dalam menghadapi Survei Karakter.
